Hands-on leader. Curious, funny, creative.

I'm an Engineering Manager and Tech Lead in Stockholm with 15+ years across SaaS, e-commerce and products. I've led teams as a people manager and player-coach, and I like staying close enough to the code to understand what's happening.

What motivates me most is helping teams and people grow. My leadership style is built on transparency, empathy and creating an environment where people can challenge ideas safely. Strong teams share context and don't depend on the manager having all the answers.

I like solving difficult problems and weighing engineering decisions across simplicity, maintainability, performance, cost, developer experience and business value. The goal isn't the theoretically perfect solution. It's the one that fits the organization, product and customers.

A recurring theme in my career has been modernization. Somehow there is always a legacy system. I've worked on core business areas and flagship products with overdue deadlines and limited budgets, while the software still had to keep running.

I've seen features spend years in development without reaching users, test suites hit the same line hundreds of thousands of times, and N+1 queries turn one request into thousands. I've introduced feature flags, better boundaries, performance fixes and incremental modernization to make systems safer and easier to change.

Those experiences taught me that engineering problems aren't always just about code. Buggy releases create stricter reviews, more QA, staging environments and checklists. Each safeguard may make sense, but overdo it and the process designed to make delivery safer starts slowing delivery down.

Understand how the system, technical or organizational, became the way it is before changing it. Moving into leadership didn't make me less interested in engineering. It helps me understand bottlenecks, challenge assumptions and remove friction. I still read the diff.

Recently I've focused on AI engineering and agentic development: orchestration, evaluation and observability, context engineering, RAG, model routing and AI-assisted development. What interests me isn't simply "using AI". It's understanding what changes in engineering systems, teams and decision-making.

Outside of work: cooking 🧑‍🍳, bass guitar 🎸, basketball 🏀, games 🎮, generative AI experiments 🤖.

As a leader your job is to do everything in your power to create the perfect conditions for success by benching your ego and inspiring your team to play the game the right way.
